Working a blue-collar job in the trades together, and both graduating college with business degrees, Brent and his son Ryan spent countless hours discussing ideas and business concepts. This led to the idea of encasing a meaningful item within a gemstone to create a gemstone that has significant value to the individual.

At this point it was just an idea, so Brent and Ryan started researching and built a workstation in the basement to test and develop such a gemstone. Years were spent trying to establish the best process and materials to fully embed a personal object within a gemstone, while also maintaining an attractive and unique appearance.

From working in a basement, to operating out of a commercial manufacturing facility, DNA Gems has grown significantly. The company is still family owned and operated and continues to grow. There were many hurtles, but DNA Gems now has an online store, social media following, and ships nationwide. What started as a father and son brainstorming ideas while working together, has led to what DNA Gems is today.
