Return Policy

Due to the personalization of the DNA Gemstone and it being created specifically for you, all sales are final, and no returns are accepted. We take pride in the quality of the finished product and verify that it is in pristine condition when it is packaged to be shipped. If there is an issue with the product when you receive it, please reach out to the email received in your order confirmation.

We ensure the prongs on the jewelry are secure when shipped. Over time and through regular wear, the prongs may loosen. It is the end customers reasonability to do routine maintenance and inspections on jewelry pieces by their own local jeweler. DNA Gems is not liable for lost gemstones or jewelry due to wear or neglect. See more details on the Materials & Care page. We recommend keeping and storing the remaining sample that is returned with your product in the event of needing to purchase another DNA Gemstone in the future.

Returning Sample Collection Envelope

The customer must mail the prepaid Sample Collection Envelope containing a proper sample within 30 days of placing an order. DNA Gems will send a follow up email after 20 days if the envelope has not been returned. The customer must respond to this email if they do not want their order canceled at 30 days. Failure to return the Sample Collection Envelope with an adequate sample within 30 days will result in the cancelation of the order and forfeiture of 40 percent of the total order amount. The remaining 60 percent of the amount previously charged will be reimbursed to the customer using the same method as the original purchase.

Product Appearance Disclaimer

The nature of embedding a material within the gemstone does alter its appearance. The DNA Gemstone will appear different than a standard gemstone of the same material. It may look slightly discolored or cloudy due to placing your sample and color dot at the center.

The Color Dot is only slightly noticeable to the naked eye when viewed up close. Depending on your stone and Color Dot color, some Color Dots may be less noticeable than others. Please take this into consideration when you are selecting your combinations.

DNA/Sample Usage

DNA Gems does not test, keep, or share any samples that are sent to us. We only use a small fraction of the sample material that is required and embed it into the center of the gemstone. The remaining, unused sample material is returned to the customer with their finished product. DNA Gems is not responsible for lost or stolen materials or products during the shipping process.

Product Useable DNA Disclaimer

DNA that is exposed to ultraviolet radiation or heat may be unusable in the future. DNA Gems does not guarantee that the DNA placed within the gemstone will be usable. It is the customers responsibility to care for the DNA Gemstone to increases the likelihood of the DNA being usable. See more details on the Materials & Care page.

Shipping Policy

DNA Gems sends the sample collection letter and prepaid sample return letter through USPS. Upon purchase, the customer selects their shipping option. If an order total is more than $200 after all discounts and before shipping and taxes, and the order is to be shipped within the United States, a free shipping option will be available. When your package is shipped, you will receive an email with your shipping and tracking information. USPS does not require a signature when delivered. If the customer would like their final product signed for upon delivery, this option must be selected. DNA Gems will require signature upon delivery for all orders over $500. DNA Gems is not responsible for lost or stolen mail while it is in the hands of USPS.
